Where AI Helps
What We Use AI For
We use AI in two areas of development. In both cases a human is driving, reviewing, and making the final call.
Code Assistance
Copilot · Claude
We use GitHub Copilot and Claude to help with game programming. The architecture, systems, and design of the game, things like combat, networking, game logic, all of that comes from us. AI helps us move faster and catch mistakes. Every line of code gets reviewed by a human before it ships.
Writing & Copy
Claude · ChatGPT
We use Claude and ChatGPT to help with written content, website copy, game text, documentation. It helps us get words down faster. Everything gets reviewed and edited by a human. The voice and the decisions are ours.
The Limits
What We Don't Use AI For
These matter to us so we're just saying it straight.
—
Art and visual assets. Every piece of visual art in the game, environment art, characters, UI, is handcrafted or licensed from human artists. No AI image generation for game assets.
—
Game design. The factions, mechanics, progression, player experience, all of that comes from us. AI doesn't make design decisions.
—
Business and creative decisions. No AI is making editorial, marketing, or strategic calls for us. Those are ours.
Our Commitment
Why We're Saying This
Some studios say nothing about AI use. We think that's a mistake. Anyone who believes in this game enough to sign up for alpha, wishlist it, and tell their friends should know how it's actually built.
We're two people. AI tools let us build something that two people couldn't realistically build on their own. We think that's worth saying out loud.
If our AI use changes in any meaningful way we'll update this page. Last updated June 2026.
